So. What has been happening to me since February, you ask?
~Jenny
College took up most of my time and the rest I wasted on TV and the computer. HECK YES. TV > real life. TV SHOWS ON TEH INTERNETZ > EVERYTHING. Especially british shows that I wouldn't be able to see otherwise due to my crappy cable. Namely, DOCTOR WHO!!!!!!! Fuck, that show is great. So great I feel the need to cuss repeatedly and loudly with joy, something which my parents do not appreciate (YES I still live with my parents; it's a summer and Christmas thing :D).
Umm, anyway, I'll get back to Doctor Who later. That's a promise, muahahaahhaaa.
I really need to lay off le crack.
<warning>Here comes many random comments that will bore you like a gay man at the playboy mansion</warning>
Work = bitch. bitch = real life. That is my math(?) for the day. Let me explain further, because I know that you know that you want to know more. Hate me yet?
Ok, real life. Jobs, bills, fake smiles, co-workers, bosses, etc. I get quite cynical when I think of the "real world". The world out there waiting for those of us fresh out of school. It's not so bad in the beginning for those who go straight to college. Like me, I suppose. But I like to complain, so prepare yourself.
This summer I got a job at an art gallery here in town. To make a long story short, this job sucks monkey balls. It is probably the most boring job anyone could ever have. Unless the boss gives me something to do, I stand around for eight hours. It's seriously a waste of life. Some may ask, "and watching tv all the time or playing around on the computer isn't a waste of your life?" Well, no, it isn't, because I'm happy and having fun while I'm doing those things. Standing around an art gallery for eight hours does not make me happy and is in no way fun. Neither is working for two weeks in a row without a single day off, which is what my boss is having me do.
But, there's a happy ending to this rant. My last day of work is going to be July 4 (independence day has never had a deeper meaning for me :P) and I shall say goodbye to le Job de Boring. Hooray!
Oh, and something happened today at work that totally made up for everything I've gone through at work. A little boy and his mom were looking at the art when all of a sudden the little boy plopped onto the floor and whined, "Mom, why do we go to these stores if we can't afford anything?" BAHAHA. So true! Everything in the art gallery is ridiculously priced, I don't know how anyone can afford any of it.
OK, now that I've completely bored everyone (myself included), I shall talk about happier things.
Doctor Who anyone?!??!! :D
I absolutely love LOVE LOVE Doctor Who. It's a funny, dramatic, out-of-this-world piece of pure happiness that makes me smile every time I think of it. I haven't seen much of the old episodes of Doctor Who, only a few from the very first season from the 1960s, but I have seen all of the new episodes. Both Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant are AMAZING as the Doctor and Billie Piper is one of my favorite actresses ever! I wanna be just like her when I grow up :P Rose is a wonderful character, full of bravery and spunk, and she and the Doctor have amazing chemistry. The underlying love story between the two makes me all warm and fuzzy inside :) I sob like a baby every time I watch the last episode of the second season :( I still hate that Billie decided to leave the show, and then I have to remind myself that it's only a television show, haha. Freema Agyeman as Martha is ok, definitely not as great as Rose, but no one could replace Rose. Martha has her moments, but I feel that the writers have made her into too much of a love-sick puppy. Doctor/Rose forever!!!! If you haven't seen Doctor Who, get off your ass and go watch it! :D Ok, I'm done now, I promise!
My next entry will be much happier (and not as long), I swear :P
